motivation

i started with the personal trainer today.

it was fun and i felt so good for doing it.

it has definitely inspired me to get moving.

i don't think i will feel too good if she comes next week and asks me what i have done, if i do nothing, so i had better try to do something everyday.

that is motivation in itself!

get moving

yesterday i had an appointment with a personal trainer.

i have signed up for a 45 minute training session once a week for four weeks.

i will see how it is going after that and decided whether to continue with the trainer or go it alone.

i feel motivated already so i think having a trainer for a session a week will be a big boost.

of course i will have to exercise more than once a week but i think having a trainer for a little while will start me off on the right track and get me moving more again.

i have also thought that i will try to get a walk in for 30 minutes each day, try to get a ride in every couple of days, try to do some yoga once a day and once i get going with the trainer use some of her exercises each day whenever i can fit them in.

monday is our first training session, looking forward to it.

its funny how life works sometimes and the coincidences that occur.

in the mail today was information on a series of workshops, to be held locally, aimed at mum's called wisemove. the workshops discuss ways that mums with young children can be active. it is for two hours once a week with one hour devoted to discussion and the other to some physical activity.

starts early february. i am going to do it.

the happiness project

i know i said i intend to have less computer time this year but...

this morning i found 'the happiness project'. i wasn't looking for it, i just happened upon it.

sounds just like what i need. we can all use a little more happiness in our lives, can't we?

the happiness project began with a book by Gretchen Rubin and is a number one best seller. it is an account of the year she spent test driving theories and studies on how to be happier. i have joined up for the 2012 happiness project but it has been running for a number of years now.

 check it our further here

it shouldn't take up too much internet time but just provide inspiration and i can just participate how i wish with the blog posts and group discussions etc.

so i ordered the book and i got started straight away on my happiness project and thought about what would make me happier today and that was having clean windows. i know sounds a little strange but i stopped procrastinating and went out and cleaned the windows... lovely, happy.

oh and having a cup of tea made in my new teapot with my favourite earl grey tea also made me happy.

more resolutions

i have thought of another new years resolution.

9. less computer time.

might be hard to stick to now that i have started this blog and signed up for the project 366 . i have flickr and pinterest accounts at the ready!

project 366 is a project where you take one photograph each day for a year (i am guessing its a leap year this year?) and you can keep it personal or post them as part of the group on flickr.

i am looking forward to the challenge and looking forward to seeing what everyone else photographs.

i just need to remember to take a photo each day which i intended to do as part of this blog anyway. i am not much of a photographer but i hope to improve my skills along the way.

i think i will try to upload photos once a week though, so i don't get bogged down at the computer everyday.

and maybe once a week i will catch up on all the blogs i read.

and once a week check in with what has been happening on pinterest.

as the new year is upon us once again, i begin to think about the coming year and what i want to achieve.

so i think about resolutions.

we all make them and then break them don't we?

i need to make a list.

i need it to be simple.

1. fitness
2. mindful eating
3. yoga everyday
4. have fun
5. laugh a lot
6. live a lot
7. breathe

i am not sure how i will fit it all in some days.

oh and...

8. be organised.

that should be a good start.
