this is lucy.
finally finished!
jessica watched as i sewed the last of her body together and then it was another week before i was game enough to do her facial features. i think i was scared i would muck it up. i am quite happy with the end result, although i am not entirely happy with her hair, there seems to be too much. i am contemplating a hair cut to tone it down.
lucy is a 12 inch doll. when i received the kit i initially wished that i had chosen a bigger doll but looking at her in jess's arms she seems to be a good size.
jessica certainly has taken to her and said today that lucy was her baby sister.
lucy is fitting right in around here!
Lucy is gorgeous! I can see why Jessica loves her so. Little Eco has had a similar sized one for a few years and still plays with her all the time.

ReplyDeletethanks amber. i am still not sure about the hair but it is growing on me x
DeleteWhat a lovely doll. I've always wondered about making one for my boys, but I'm pretty hopeless with a needle and thread. I especially love Lucy's hair by the way - give her great personality!
ReplyDeleteit was so easy with a kit as the head is already done so just a matter of sewing together and stuffing really. there are heaps of tutorials around so i am sure you could do it. i really like the little boy versions of the waldorf dolls and have a few pinned on my pinterest boards. hmmm... makes me think we might need a boy doll too!
DeleteGorgeous! And I love the hair too. It suits her :)
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos of your little girl giving her cuddles.
